Boston’s Best Outdoor Activities: Where To Enjoy The Summer Weather
We made it through another long New England winter, and it’s finally time to savor the sunshine! Thankfully, there are lots of outdoor places around Boston to enjoy the warm weather, from Castle Island to Fenway Park. Here are a few trips to add to your summer bucket list.
Revere Beach, the oldest beach in the country, hosts the New England Sand Sculpting Festival every July. There’s also Constitution Beach, which has basketball and tennis courts.
In addition to tours and baseball games, Fenway Park is known for its summer concert series, which will feature Florida Georgia Line, New Kids on the Block, and Billy Joel this year.
The Coolidge Corner Art Festival, Salem Culturefest, and the Roxbury International Film Festival are just a few of the festivals taking place this summer.
Check out Castle Island and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The Boston Common and the adjacent Public Garden are also great for walking, relaxing, and dog-watching in the off-leash areas!
Take the Boston Harbor Islands Ferry, bike along the Charles River Esplanade, brush up on your history on the Freedom Trail, or get whale-watching tickets from the New England Aquarium. Boston has something for everyone!
